Build a team that has a job
You will not own the full 50-person roster on day one. You need one closer, one enabler, and one weather answer. Jotaro, Caesar, Diavolo, and Giorno are the names that keep showing up in launch clears. Bruno and Joseph make those closers safer. If the stage is rain, Squalo is not a joke pick. If it is fog or sand, Narancia keeps range. If it is heat, Prosciutto aging is a real mechanic. If it is blizzard, sit him.
Do not dump every upgrade stone into the first SSR portrait you like. Read the character page first. Jotaro Time Stop and You've Angered Me are why he is a closer. Giorno is Support, not a second Jotaro. Avdol is Special. Mista fourth shot is worse on purpose. Those are game facts, not flavor text.
First week spending
Spend stamina on the story stages that unlock the next code chest and the first gear forge slot. The store page names Stand awakening, skill enhancement, gear forging, and character ascension. Raise skills on the closer before you chase a cosmetic plate. World bosses and PvP exist; they are not the first-week farm.
When you are stuck, open the combat page and check weather before you swap the whole team. Eighteen environments ship with the game. You do not need to memorize all 18. You need to know blizzard, rain, fog, sand, and heat, because those five have named Stand interactions already documented.
